Over the preceding two years, Biontech Co., Ltd. received calls from shareholders who had been contacted by callers claiming to represent securities companies. The callers falsely stated that Biontech was in poor financial condition and was liquidating assets, including selling land or converting assets, and that shares would be exchanged for assets such as columbarium spaces. These false messages are unlawful tactics used by fraud groups. They seriously harm the company’s reputation and shareholders’ rights, and cause misunderstanding among business partners and consumers.

Biontech commissioned this attorney to issue a formal statement warning those spreading false information to cease unlawful acts that infringe the company’s rights. Otherwise, the company will bring civil and criminal proceedings to protect its rights and will not tolerate such conduct.
